RE: Shock oil change needed?
if your shocks are still fine then your shock oils fine... I don't think you ever really need to change your shock oil unless you have a leak or something...

But i don't really know anything about shocks so...

You dont NEED to change it if its still full, but its a good idea, no shock seal is 100% perfect, so all shocks lose some oil over time, oil gets out, dirt gets in, which accelerates wear on the shock seals, and more oil leaks out... I do it every few months depending on how often I drive.... Shock oil gets dirty over time, which will accelerate wear on the seals and change its damping characteristics... Changing it once a year in the spring if you dont drive it dirty conditions should be ok... more often if you drive in loose dirt...
Changing it is especialy important on dual shock trucks... its amazing how often you will go to change it and find one shock completly empty...
You should be able to drop your truck from at least 2 feet up without the chassis hitting the floor... if not, check your shocks.
