Another engine life thread...different question
Okay say you have run 5 gallons or whatever thru your motor and your sure that the motor is wore out.
What exactly do you need to replace for it to be good as new....just assume the engine is just worn out from gallons of good running.

In most cases on the 1st rebuild you can get away with a new piston and sleeve. In extreme cases or a 2nd/3rd rebuild you may need a connecting rod, crank and possibly bearings. At that point your better of just to buy a new engine(unless yor running a high end nova,RB,JP,Picco engine).
You can also go the route of have your piston squeezed by OSrocket off ebay or another place called rayaracing.. I think thats the name of his page.
Here is his web page.

Yep, that's all you need to do!
Change the piston and sleeve and make sure you clean the heck out of your engine before you take it apart! It only takes about 30mins to change out the P/S and then you are back up and running after break-in!
