Dirt Demon Owners, How do you like DD so far?
For those of you that have a DD how are they performing? Any problems?
I've narrowed my selection for my first nitro MT to: Savage, DD or Titan and can't decide. I really like what you get with the DD for $470 dollars though. The Titan seems very heavy and I've read a lot about how it snaps pins in the drive train. The Savage seems good other than needing a stronger steering servo.
Any suggestions?

It's kinda funny that we haven't heard any info on one of these since the release.I'm kinda curios on how they perform as well.

There is a guy on this forum,
That has one and is breaking it in right now but, had a few minor problems and is on hold until he gets some parts! We are waiting for the whole story! He did say he liked it so far though! There was a video of one awhile back but, it looked super slow off the line and no top speed! Maybe he was breaking it in as well??

the DD isthe biggest waste of money I should have just burnt 550.00 and the truck never shifts in to second like they say it's motor is strong but the truck is junk the motor makes a good motor for a savage can we say wheelies on demand even in second gear oh yea awesome motor and the easy start works on lots of motors and works on the savage

mine have no problem so far, and it shift to 2nd.
Good handling just like T Crusher good for jump, and speed of course lot faster than T Crusher.
The only thing I don't like is the rotostart.

Here's a DD pic from this years Toledo RC show.
It sounds like DD needs a few months to see if it will sink or swim.

The LHS in Miami had one and it looked O.K. but the front end needs to be angled back a little more. I was considering it or the Savage for my 9yr old and went with the Savage. Wise decision come to find out the store had to send it back to the factory with a transmission defect. Does'nt look good so far unless it was just a isolated incident.

My friend just bought the dd and it is now broke in. It runs okay, but the savage or maxx is still a better buy. Just wait until some magazine gives it a bs review and then see how many people buy them. They will be dissapointed.

I always try to listen to the consumer and not the advertiser. I'm sure there are plenty of educated people in this hobby that know better than to listen to some hyped up review without getting a fellow R/Cers opinion before dishing out $500 or more. This forum is the real test for products and if HotBodies wants to make the DirtDemon a success they need to solve any issues in a timely fashion.

I'm not sure about what the DD is like but if i had to pick between the two (i own the titan and savage, along with a couple of other trucks :P ) and it'd have to be the savage. Basically the only thing that the titan has goin for it is the size and speed, it handles pretty damn crap in the rough stuff, and in terms of durability you need to run the front CVDs on the rear too (me and a mate kept on snapping the rear dogbones, it's got a clearance problem with the cup on bouncy surfaces). Go the Savage, you won't be dissappointed.

It's an expensive experiment with DD. I don't have money to splash on something that will not perform as well as the likes of Maxx and Savage for your money's worth.

Dog bones in Titan?
There must be a different version of the Titan in Australia... Mine, and all others that I have seen come stock with CVDs in the front and rear. Are you thinking of the Dominator or Pirate? They have rear dogs...

That's too bad that the DD isn't doing so well in the MT market. I've seen the price drop down to $429.00 at Hobbeypeople.net. It was $470 elsewhere.
As for the Titan. I was reading about the problems mentioned here and at Titanforums.com. The Titans sound tempermental with the drive train issues and shifting problems.
Savage sounds more reliable and that's what I'll probably get. Plus more and more parts are becoming available for them.
