Are some bubbles ok?
My idel is being very eratic. I have a lst, with the inline fuel filter. I am seeing some bubbles in the fuel line to the carb. I thinking there could be a leak in the filter but dont remember if some bubbles are ok, or do you want no bubbles at all?

No bubbles is best. Bubbles will give eratic idle, make it cut-out, make it run lean and maybe overheat so the fewer the better. Check the filter, fuel lines and tank lid seal.

Hey dacaur, I have the stock black fuel filter. Do you know if those are permantly sealed? I tried to open it up to reseal it incase there was a leak in there, but I couldnt get it open and I didnt want to break it.

I don't know, I haven't messed with mine. Easy fix to be sure would be to just slather sealant all over it, including the ends of the fuel line attached to it... you will want to replace your fuel line anytime you replace your filter anyway....

yea regular silicon should work fine.. just clean it real good with alcohol before you put it on... and don't use it on anything electronic... the fumes from curing silicon are acidic and can harm electronics... shoe goo is another option that would work....

I've just recently found out rtv silicone will eventually get broken down by nitro. Threebond or Lucky 7 is a better sealer. Rtv will work though. I have it all over my picco and haven't got an air leak yet.
