Default Sheared off Differentials - upgrade?

I sheared off the 4, 2mm screws on the rear diff. I bought the 12.00 kit and the screws look even cheaper - go figure

I saw a rear diff on ebay that is alloy using 3mm screws but they wanted 60 dollars for it.

I think since i have the siro .18 and steel cvd this one wont last long either. any suggestion? If i use a spool dont I still need the screws to hold the gear?

Try going to a hardware store and see if you can find stainless steel screws for your diff. they are alot stronger than regular steel screws.

If you can find it, look for GRADE 8 screws....they are the best!

I run the kippster aluminum cups w/3mm screws on my TRX ring gears, have had no problems, I dont think that sirio is going to hurt a 3mm screw cause I run a ported and polished .247 which puts out twice as much power. Word of addvice, do not buy the kippster cup with the RRP ring and pinion, the TRX ring and pinion are alot stronger and they do not self destruct like the RRP kit!! BTW I can hook you up with just the aluminum cup and 3mm screws for $36, but you will have to drill the wholes in your ring gear for the larger screws.

BTW I found what you were looking at on ebay, Ive never heard of that diff before, but it looks like it would do the job, and for 1 complete diff greased and all for $60, thats a pretty good deal. I just might pick a couple of them up to see how well they will hook up!!

Cool, I decided to pick one up on Ebay. Your right it seems a fair price for what you get after checking the kipp site.

My LHardwareS doesnt have strong 2mm screws unfortunately.

See I was looking for the same thing, but kipps prices were so damn out ragious I just had a buddy order a bunch of the cups, and moddified the ring gears myself, cost me a total of $45 to build a complete diff(cup, ring, pinion, spider gears)
