Default Savage Transmission problem! (please help)

Everything was going great....it was hitting second pretty nice but now every now and then at WOT and then i let off some and then hit it to WOT again the engine will just rev and not move the truck....the spur gear is turning but no go. Sometimes i'll have to run over and shake the spur gear and then the tranmission will engage again. Has anyone had this problem? how did you fix it?

Thanks!

you might want to make sure that the allen nut that holds your gear to the shaft in the transmission is secured all the way and loctite it. Good Luck

Phone HPI and tell them your problems. They will most likely send you a new one-way bearing assembly for inside the trans. We had the same problem with ours. It seems that a bunch of Savages were produced with a poorly made bearing. Hope this helps.

its the one way bearing inside the tranny. contact HPI and they will send you a new one. My buddy had that problem with his. While he was waiting for the new bearing I told him to pull the slipping one way out and soak it in alcohol. then clen up the surface of he shaft where the bearing rides. finally apply some light oil onto the bearing and the shaft and reassemble. His original one way has not had any slipping problems after he did that.
