Hey CEN RACING or anyone else out there , could you tell me the difference in these to trucks . I know the Mt2 is faster but is there a way to make your ST2 faster or as fast as the MT2?

hello CENRACING are you there?
Out of box form, ST2 will have the head start until probabelly 30-35mph then MT2 will just pass it like crazy. In another words, not possible for ST2 to beat MT2 in top speed competition in stock condition.
You can make ST2 as fast as you want it. It all depend on how much money you willing to spend. To make ST2 go faster, you can either change gearing, make some modification such as pipe, cooling head,...etc. But it will be a lot easier if you just toss a .21 onto it then no one will be able to touch you. However, your top speed remain similar but i am sure you are not looking for top speed. You want mad acceleration if i am not mistaken. So a .21 will do the job

Ok, so let's say i'm gonna drop in a Picco 26 and i know without a doubt that i is gonna strip some gears so my question to you is do you make steel gears or titianium ones? Also , is there an easy way to change the gear ratios on the st2 to make it the same or faster as the mt2?and if so what settings would i need to make the gear ratio larger than the mt2 . Thanks.

sorry for the late response.
Which gears are you referring to? All the drivetrain are metal. Spur gear is plastic but its not always better to have metal. especially when metal engage with metal. Higher chance of something go wrong and cost more to repair it. But does last longer if everything goes right. So give or take. Both have advantage.
If you want top speed. You will have to scarfice low end. IF you want insane accerlation, you will not have same high top speed. But with a .21, you will definitely beat a MT2 even if you leave everything stock.

Has anyone else seen the article in the AUG 2003 issue of R/C Car? The MT2 rocks! Once I get to England I am buying me one of these. Will want to get threaded shocks and probly regear some though and put a bigger motor in it.

Should be able to see it on R/C Car magazines website. They had an article last month on the MT2 as well. This is also first mag that I have seen many multy page articles on different CEN cars. They were all impressive to read.
