Default Picco 26 problem help please.

I keep burning up glo plugs.......? I'm running at 250-270 deg with tons of smoke it seems like its running plenty rich but I keep burning up plugs. I've gone through 3 OS #8 plugs in one tank of fuel. Any ideas?

Someone wrote in that he had put McCoy 59's in his and it worked much better. I would definitely fatten it up first though. Be careful with the pull start as well. Be kinda hard to start if the glo starter was dead

The #3 are HOT plugs....If you are running 20% nitro or higher, you might try a #8, or even a A5. I would personally run the A5 if your using 20% or more if it runs good with it, they have a very durable wire, and last FOREVER...practically. I think I almost got a gallon out of one. I am running 25% in my OS RZVBO1.21 and the A5 is what it came with allthough, it can use the #8 or even the super cold R5(when using 30-30%+!) Here is the heat range chart from os.....

You want to use a colder plug the highewr percentage of nitro you are using...the #3 is for super rich conditions (break in) only. After you break the engine in, you need to switch to a colder plug (#8, A5).

A3 does work well for break in, but I would first try the A5 and if it works keep with it, if not go for the #8. youll be surprised the A3 is like $3.79 and the R5 is $6.99 but they last soooooooo long! As you are about to find out.....
