Before you buy, check out the XTM 24/7
It runs about $130, but it'll last and has better power. Stay as far away from anything Traxxas as you can get. They have made one good thing, the TMAXX, and that is only good to completely strip and upgrade. Happy hunting

Also, convo kit, $100 plus

HAHAHA,
theyve made WAY more than 1 "good" thing" the stampede is good not for racing, but its not ntened to be use for racing saem with all of the other traxxas products the rustler *good* quality, in my opionin just about all of the traxxas products are good quality NOT FOR RACING. JMT

Default What are you putting it in??

Are you replacing the stock T-Maxx engine? If so, drop a Sirio 3.0 .18 in it (No need for a conversion kit)! I have read and seen a lot of good things about this engine! I have 2 .21 Maxx's and I have drag raced against a Maxx with a Sirio .18 and it was just about as quick off the line but, not as fast on the top end! But, if you want to do the conversion the XTM 24.7 is a great engine from what I have read and there are many other great .21 and up!

Thank all you guys for the replies, but i thought I could pick up a motor somewhat cheap being everyone is having hell trying to tune them. I have a new t-maxx with 2.5 and I want to add a second engine to it. I would like it to be stock so as to keep things synchronized. I already have the aluminum gear box and my custom made stainless mounts ready to go, ( in my head of course). So if you are reading this do me a favor and when you stop laughing think if you or your buddy has motor for sale and please let me know.

Thanks, Desy
