Default new idea for a simulated boost? maybe...

i was reading that nitro in your mower thread and soemone mentioned nitrous in their car and stuff. that got me thinking, real rc nitrous isnt exactly available yet and stuff, but i got an idea that *could* give a simulated effect. leaning out the engine causes it to produce more power. i run my tmaxx really rich most of the time, so that it just isnt sputtering fluid all out of the stinger. but what if you hooked up a servo to the hsn to lean it out on command? i know some guy supposedly made and is developing a nitrous boost for his truck, but until then what about this? anyone tried it?

How about just pinching the fuel line? That is going to lean up the mixture, right?

Someone around here attached a model rocket engine to a t-maxx to give it that speed burst we all long to have. They had videos of it somewhere...

Flatlander,
Your idea about the micro servo on the HSN is actually used on some R/C boats. The servo is actuated from the transmitter. Typically it is a two position switch. One direction is lean and the other is rich, although each pre-set is determined through experimentation. Along the straights the engine is run a little lean to get top end power. Pulling out out of the turns, the HSN is slightly richened for some low end punch. Some karts use the same method. The manual "switch" is attached to the steering wheel, for easy access by the driver. There is also a device used on R/C airplanes that squeezes the fuel line to lean the mixture. It also is actuated from the transmitter

Cool 10 bucks!

Krusty.. man get lost... lol
You know just about everything?!!

You should start an R/C company and sell such products. You'll be rolling in money.

Thats a good idea indeed!!

I think I wanna try something to increase airflow.

I think I really like the idea of a liquid cooling system with a radiator!
