I have a cen MT-2 and it dosnt wheelie. Will it wheelie if I pull the carb restrictor out? I have considered this but I am not going to do it just yet because I do not no the trade offs and gains. What are the trade offs and gains?

i had a mt-2 b4
i pulled the restrictor off of it
i did it for the power
but mine did wheelies as soon as i was done breakin it in
as far as trade offs i didnt really care i jus wanted to have fun

You may be running too rich. Your idle may be too high or your slipper may be too loose. Just a few things to check out.........[:@]

Don't know about the carb restrictor, but checking your tune is a good place to start. Also, doing some clutch tuning will help. Go with a little heavier spring and it will cause the clutch to engage higher in the RPM range, also going with heavier shoes will cause the clutch to engage more forcefully. There is an article that I ran across somewhere about clutch tuning but I can't remember where I found it. Do a search on google and you may get lucky.

Removing the carb restrictor won't hurt anything, but it may make it a little harder to tune. Taking it out will feed the engine more air, so you'll have to feed it more fuel (hsn), more air+more fuel = more power. But you may lose some tuning consistancy.
