TRAXXAS NITRO STAMPEDE ------- HELP

I am new to the game, ready to tweak the truck, and in need of some advice.

SO----My Traxxas Nitro Stampede ------ the back wheels lift off the ground in turns. I understand this means an oil change in the chocks is needed. What weight oil do the stock shocks come with? What is the process for changing the oil in them? Do I go higher or lower in vescocity?

NEXT----I purchased a set of Poly Amide bearings---14 in the package. I know 8 are for the wheels----what are the other 6 for?

Your help is greatly appreciated---------

Other 6: transmission If you want your rear wheels not to come up: get lower shock oil WT 30wt(not good for jumping though)

I race every Tuesday at a club event and here is what I found with my Stampede to get it to handle. Mind you I am going up against Savages and T-Maxx and able to hold my own.

If you can get adjustable shocks, better shocks than the stock, then make the front very stiff and the rear very soft with 30 wt oil. This will allow the truck to hunker down under heavy exceleration, but still turn. I suggest any exaust upgrade you can get. MIP Stinger is a good upgrade. This exaust will give you alot move lower end grunt. Get the MIP CVDs as well. These handle the new power allot better. Next you will start to blow spider gears, so get the bearing diff. I have been running this setup for a long time and love the truck. Don't let anyone tell you that the .15 pro ain't quick. On the back straight I've caught them all with the stock 66 tooth sprocket but the Novak brushless are just wicked fast. The .15 is at least 1 hp and in a light truck like the 'Pede it does great.

I am not a professional, but a good backyard basher.

I just love the Nitro Stampede! I am in the process of re-building one from the ground up "Tricked Out"! I have Associated shocks on the front and some aluminum threaded shocks from one of my T-Maxx's on the rear. I have the Ball dif,Stinger pipe but, not sure what engine I will use yet but, leaning to the O.S. .15 CV-RX. This is Stampede #2 and I have 2 .21 converted Maxx's, a street car and a Duratraxx MT Pro But, I have to say that the Stampede is the most fun out of them all.
