T-maxx 2.5 tranny in the .15 body?
Hello,
I have the OLD tmaxx (the one that came stock with the .15 pro) and not too long ago upgraded to the 2.5 (but still have the old body/truck). My transmission is bad and I wanted to know if I have to get the "old" .15 pro tmaxx's tranny or can the 2.5 tranny fit? I know that when I put my friend's (new) tranny on mine, the dogbones didn't fit so well. Should I convert them to the "new" kind too? Also, does anyone know the price of a new tranny? (old style or new) Thanks, Larry |

I think the 2.5 tranny can fit, but not sure. You should ask in the tmaxx forum.

probably should have. but too late now.
I went to my LHS and the guy there gave me one of the parts in the tranny. Its the metal part that is where you do the actual turning for tighting it onto the shaft and the turning for the shift point. I'll install it tonigh, then "play" tomorrow. Thanks anyway, hopefully this well be the answer. otherwise, I want my 16 bucks back...lol Later, Larry |

well actually there is kinda alot to name, basically the suspension (like the A arms and all that stuff there) then also the engine...
but anyway. my friends tranny dogbones or drive shafts off the tranny were REALLY tight on my drive shafts that are on my truck.....i mean REALLY REALLY TIGHT. and i had a he** of a time getting them off. so i thought that was with all of the new trannys.... but either way....i think i got the part to fix it, i didn't get to put it in yet... thanks, larry |
