MGT Engine Replacement...
Has anyone ditched the TTR 21 in favor of another motor yet??? I decided to add the MGT to my ever growing collection and while I love the truck, it needs more power... I was expecting wheelies and I didn't get any... Has anyone gotten the front wheels willingly and consistently off the ground yet??? I was contemplating a WASP 26 any thoughts???

Not the wasp man. I'd recommend the dynamite mach .26 or the xtm 24.7. Those 2 are like the same engine but the reliability is great!

RE: MGT Engine Replacement...
What's the dripe with the Wasp? Isn't it supposed to be the same as the Picco? I want front wheel pulling power... If the 2.5 Maxx can pull the wheels so should the MGT... Granted I do have the Imex Jumbo's on it but they are a smaller diameter which effectively raised my gearing...

RE: MGT Engine Replacement...
MGT was designed NOT to pull wheelies, its bad for handling, bad for speed, bad for acceleration, just plain bad, lock up the rear springs and stick a weight on the back and it'll wheelie as much as you like. Or just buy a mad force.

RE: MGT Engine Replacement...
Speed is not an issue, my NTC3 with a JP Novarossi is built for speed... My MT's are for pure bashing... Nothing is made to wheelie, put torque in anything and it'll wheelie... My 79 F150 on 35" M-T's wheelies... It's a sight to see...

RE: MGT Engine Replacement...
I have a Sirio 27 in mine and it is great. Also have a RB WS7II for backup
that I will be trying out next weekend and see how it goes. |
