differential locking????

hello. i currently own a kyosho mad force. i have been looking around and i have found about 2 or 3 differential locking kits. are you just supposed to lock your diffs for rock crawling only?? cuz i will do some crawluing but mostly jumps and off road stuff. will the locked diff destroy my clutch and tires? i dont really care about the tires as much as the clutch. but if the diff is locked, wont i get better acceleration because there is no slip in the differential??

Thanks.

So what do you want to do rock crawl or bash the truck. If for crawling then yes lock the diffs, No need to spend your money on those kits, just use silly putting to lock it.

If you want to bash I suggest using oil for the diffs. I know nothing about that track but oil is the way to go, they comne in different wieghts and are as thick as honey.

For what you are doing i dont see any reason to completely lock the diffs up. You can get some Ofna silicon diff fluid thats VERY thick! I believe 100,000 wt and up. That will give you an idea of a locked diff. While you are in the diffs, be sure to replace the PT screws with Machine Thread screws.
