mammy st or savage ss for bashin'
Hey,
Sorry for another comparison thread, but heare goes: I was looking at both trucks and want a basher. I like the mammy because of the engine, price, and ive heard it is durable. I like the savage because it has loads of hop-ups, is big, and everyone speaks highly of it's durability. Duribility is an important factor for me. What would you chose for bashin'? Thanks Ethan |

oh, also does anyone know of any sites that sell hop ups for the mammy besides dadders?- a bit pricy, don't ya think?

RE: mammy st or savage ss for bashin'
most of the mammoth hop-ups are pretty pricey xtm makes some aluminum hop-ups and such which are listed on the hobby people site. I think that if you want durability you should probably go with the savage, it's durability is legendary. Plus the mammoth st is more of a race truck so for bashing the savage wopuld probably be a better choice.

I own a Mammoth ST and would have to say for hardcore bashing go with the Savage. The ST still uses the regular Mammoth arms and Bigair's (http://www.bigairproducts.com/) aluminum ones will set you back 100.00+ but they will not break. If you are willing to buy the arms I would say go for the ST.
Hobby people sells all of the hop ups that you will ever need. rolland |

I have a mammoth st I use it for racing but from what I have done with it at the skate park I took it too it held its weight it lastest longer then my friends revo which had 21 in them and other goodies so I mammoth st is a strong truck with those aluminum parts it will be a stronger truck

go with the savage if your bashing

RE: mammy st or savage ss for bashin'
why whena mammoth st will out bash it and the salvage is slow and a pain in the butt to work on it
|
RE: mammy st or savage ss for bashin'
I don't think a stock mammoth will out bash a stock savage. Don't get me wrong I have a mammoth and I love it and with hop-ups I think it could bash with the best of them but stock I think a savage is a better basher.

I have jumped the size of a two story house at wot at a construction site and didnt break anything the next day I was at the track racing aginst a salvage at won with ease

RE: mammy st or savage ss for bashin'
I slid into a wall with my ST at a low speed and broke my arms.
I really don't think any body is going to believe the 2-story remark without a video to prove it. I really like my ST but it is now where near as tough as the Savage out of the box. Aluminum arms and maybe a center diff and there isn't a Savage that could keep up. But for out of the box the Savage is the better choice. rolland |
