RE: SAVAGE X SPEED
The top speed has been posted before, but the Savage X will top out at about 35 mph. Top speed doesn't really matter in the long run for many people. The Savage X is lower than the 25, but the Savage X also has the revolutionized X chassis design. Good luck!

RE: SAVAGE X SPEED
If top speed is important to you don't buy a Savage. A savage is: durable, stable in the air, more challenging to work on(than most mt's), bt they are usually not fast when compared to other MT's with similar budgets. Can you make a savage fast? yes (at a price) can you make a savage handle at speed? yes (but at an even higher price) Big tires and lots of gears don't make for an incredibly efficient drive train.
If speed is high on your priority list then look into the 1/8th scale buggy class. |

RE: SAVAGE X SPEED
35 mph is very fast for a monster truck..any faster and most become un stable..some manufacturers brag about top speed but in the real world most bashers never take thier trucks above 30mph at the most..traxxas is guilty of this..i think the t-maxx 2.5's and the revo 2.5r's are geared to tall from the factory..gearing both trucks lower makes them run a lot better..much more power when bashing and they run cooler..the savage x runs out at about 35mph but it has a lot of low end power..it will run alot better than the old savage25 i promise..
