Temperature 35 humidity 65 and i couldn't break in my MGT 8.0. Help Please.

Probably i have a bad glow plug, i was trying to break in the engine of a MGT 8.0 this evening, Sometimes i could keep the engine running for 5 or 6 seconds and after that engine dies. Almost 2 hours like this, followed the instructions manual 100%.

In that kind of weather what should i do ? Run lean, richer ? Give me an advice, than you.

Any comment will be trully appreciated.

Did you warm the motor with a hair dryer before starting it ?

Leave it rich since its soo cold , at least till you have a couple of tanks run through it .

take a hair drier to it and warm up the motor, also wrap you head in foil to help keep the heat in

Yes i will do that.

The only test i made was removing the glow spark and putting in contatct with the spark tool, i could see some light but not til the end of tiny wire ?

Is that normal ?
Thanks.

It should glow brightly.... You might also let it run with the glow charger on the plug to help keep the fire lit. sometimes the factory recommended setting is just too rich to run..... especially if your fuel is thin. In my experience some fuels flow easier and flood easier. Are you having any trouble turning the engine? BB
