Mini MGT vs MT Spec 3.0
 

I just realized how closely matched these 2 trucks are (or a Magnum NX instead of MT Spec 3.0, same thing). I wonder if anybody has run them side by side. It would be interesting to see the results. Pretty close specs, aside from price. The CEN stomps Associated in that category. I don't think reverse is worth $100 !! Not too many 1/10 scale Monster trucks out there aside from Traxxas. What do you think about this showdown? My brother in law has a Magnum and it is a solid truck. I would hope Associated would up the ante for the extra dough!

That CEN is a 4wd stadium truck platform, with a 2 speed, and bigger tires. The MGT 3.0 is an actual 10th scale MT, not based off a stadium truck at all. Look closer at the chassis, and design of the trucks. You'll see what i mean. Sounds like you like your brother in laws CEN though. So if you're wondering what to buy, then just get the CEN. You can share spares that way too.

CEN Magnum is a very durable truck. Solid performance for the price , you cant beat that. Reverse is not realy needed most of time. ITs not allowed on track, and if you flip over in your backyard, just walk to pick it up and save yourself $100
