The question is, what's the best monster for you?

are you going to be racing or bashing?

just cruising around casually or getting BIG air?

some handle better than others. others are more durable. etc etc

Mgt 4.6 and 8.0 are just about the same ting. After shock and ramitor are the same.
Out everything the lst2 is the way to go in my opinion.
But lately I've been advising truggies.
So get the st1:D

Buy whatever you can get the most readily available parts for. Most hobby shops I've been to, stock lots of HPI (Savage) Traxxas (Revo) parts. When you break something (you will) it'll suck having to wait for parts on order. It sounds to me, that a Savage would fit you best. They're one of the most durable trucks out there, and are very fun.

A truggy is not a monster truck, nor will it be as durable as one when bounced off a curb at 40mph or launched off a 10ft ramp, so I'd stay away from a truggy unless all you want to do is race. Just my opinion. As for which 1/8th monster is the all time best, the simple answer is none of them. The complex answer is probably going to irk some people. The Savage X 4.6 or Savage X SS is the best if you bash. It has proven itself time and time again as a very stout truck and the aftermarket is loaded with parts for this thing. Also, stock replacement parts are very easy to find and are as close as your nearest hobby shop in most cases. The Traxxas Revo is the best if you plan on competitively racing in a monster truck class-it has won like 5 or 6 consecutive professional monster truck championships since it was released. Again, just my opinion.

When I was researching trucks a year ago. I rounded it down to Revo and MGT. I got the MGT cuz I knew I was a basher at heart. I love my MGT for bashing, but if I was to race, I would get a Revo. I know you need to upgrade a few parts here and there....but 5 years running as champ of the track says alot. if it were the same nascar team winning, or the same team winning the super bowl , or anything alongs those lines, 5 years would be an amazing accomplishment. Just my 2 cents

the muggy is a truggy and nothing else, truggy,truggy,truggy. it was just built big and beffy for all around use but its still a truggy

Hey Partner: Hi you doing!!! If you want a monter truck, The ones you have mentioned earlier would do you just fine. You see: They all do the same thing. None is no different from the other. You will have everyone tell you that one is better then the other which is there opinion. But it is not the case.Every monster truck is a racer and a basher, it all boils down to you knowing what you want and you knowing what you want to do with it!!!;)
