Help me upgrade my driveline on my 2.5 maxx
 

I want to beef up my driveline. I seem to break things quickly.

I stripped my diff gear on only the 6th tank of gas. I readjusted the engine and it meshes much better now. Then on the next tank I broke a rear half shaft. :eek: . So now that the truck is down. I wanted to replace what ever I could in the driveline to keep things from breaking.

I am thinking about getting rid of reverse. Is it worth it? Do a lot of people do this?

I am new to this hobby so if you can give me a parts run down on a stronger drive line. I would be very greatful.

Well you can pick up a pair of Dynamite cvds, for around $36, or a pair of XTM's for around the same, you can also pick up a complete set of proline cvd's for around $85 on ebay!! I would also shim my diffs so they get a better mesh!! I can get you some links and part numbers if needed!!

sounds good. I was looking at some kind of cvd that wat metal. It looked like what my old rc10 had in the rear of it 10 years ago. I think we called them dog bones.

What about the trans. Should I put in a metal gear? What about reverse?
