Savage - What parts do you broke until now?

Hi folks

Please post on this thread all the parts already broken ou your Savage, so we can know it better.

My small list is:

- 1 bent shock shaft (rear left, the front one)
- 2 stripped rear rims
- 1 lost screw (engine plate)

Thanks!

Daniel

Many parts :)

How old is your Savage?

Mine has about 40 days old, 1 1/4 gallon.

Stock Steering Servo.

2nd day first tank after break in.
This is day three going out now, I'll probably add to the list later this evening.

I disassembled the servo saver days ago. It's too strong for the stock servo. Maybe it can work better with the stock servo, removing the metallic "C" shaped spring, leaving only the plastic one in it.

Hint: tight your wheel nuts every run, or put some Loctite 242 on it. This will make your stock wheels last longer ;)

I have had my Savage since November of 2002. I have broken two dogbones, and the older style c-hubs. That is it. I still have the Nitro star engine in it, and I have had this engine idle for a full five minutes with no problems. I shut the engine down myself, it probably could have easily idled for five more minutes.
The engine has gone through six gallons of fuel already, and it still runs strong with lots of compression.

I've broken:
1 front upright
Bent the shock shaft on HB alum. shocks and now using the stock shafts all the way around with no problems!!!
2 spur gears
Both stock servos(got wet in the snow)
1 front dogbone
Rear bumber supports
1 Brake hub
Stripped 2 rims
Cracked 1 rim
4 antenna tubes
1 Heat sink for 21bb
1 pullstart for 21bb
Stock servo saver

I've had my Savage since December and I almost like breaking stuff because it gives me an excuse to upgrade!!

I bought my savage about 2 weeks ago and have been amazed at how tough it is, I beat the living crap out of it and havent broken too many parts, they are.

1 pullstarter
chipped head fin (dont drive your truck without the body)
broke both front dogbones
stripped steering servo and bent one front shock (doing backflips)
stripped out right rear wheel
bent the rollbar into the shape of a m from landing on the roof after jumping a skaterboard fun box and getting over 20ft distance and 8ft height, only broken part after doing the jump over 20 times (landing on cement)

Savage - What parts do you broke until now?

2 dogbones (upgraded to HD dogbones and have yet to snap one)
1 front bumper post (sheared screw, left it as is doenst effect much)
cracked cooling head (almost got the entire top fin off now :p )
one hitec servo on throttle (hit a jump that turned out to be a stop and now it doesnt center right... )
cracked a rim on my on road tires (on road tires off road.... not a good idea)
working on stripping out the stock wheels (they still grip but I have pulled them off and found the lugs twisted inside)

and my roll bar has been bent, bent back, bent, pounded back, bent, chipped, scratched, dented, and bent again. I seem to spend alot of time landing on my roof :p :D

the savage is a TOUGH truck. mine should be in peices by now but its held together great. anything that can do a 6 foot jump and land roof first over and over (I will get that forward flip down) is good in my book

I've got about 1/2 gallon of fuel through mine so far, and I've

1. Stripped the steering servo (Twice)
2. Broken a fin off of the cooling head
3. got a sore elbow from trying to start the damn thing.

with the exception of the reverse module, this is a stock savage (Steering servo is on the way)

what is a stripped rim??

stripped rim is when the hexagon shaped hub inside of the rim turns into a circle from running the rims loose or to much torque.
