Stupid Question
I'm trying to take the axle pin out of my CVD and it's stuck...I've tried using plyers and tapping it out...The thing won't budge. I've even tried adding a little oil and still not budging. Have any of you guys run into this probem? Any other ideas of what I could do?

Trying to pull the pin out with pliers (correct spelling) is never the correct way. Even if you are successful with that method, the piers will leave grip or "dig" marks in the pin. The proper method is to use a drift punch, the same diameter as the pin, to gently tap out the pin.

You could try heating it up... I dont know if it would work but its the only thing i can think of. I CA'd my cvd pin in once by mistake, my lhs got it out. I think you can buy cvd's seperatly if you want, but just out of curiosity, why do you need to get the pin out?

I use a set of pliers, put one side on the axle, and the other side on one end of the pin. Then sqeeeeeeze!! Try to keep your fingers clear of the inside of the pliers, because sometimes they slip. Then you get a nice big owie........
