Dual Tank Mod For Savage?
 

I've been hearing something about a leaning problem with the Savage that adding a second tank is suppose to fix. My question is what is needed to complete this mod and why or how does it keep the engine from leaning out?

Not sure, but perhaps you're talking about a header tank. That's all i know. I beleive it has something to do with equalizing pressure or something similar.

go to savage-central and search for dual tank mod u will get all the info u need. I am using it and it works wonders.

The real issue i think is tank location. U will notice the carb center line is at about the half tank level. Meaning beyond half tank carb has to pull fuel up hill. you can also use the ofna 125cc tank to solve the problem. The header tank always stays full and therfore always has gravity assiting the carb.
