Default TT Nitro Drive Axle

I am trying to figure out why my drive axle will not come out. I have removed the set screw from the main gear adapter and from the sprocket. I also have removed the screws from the drive axle mount on the sprocket side. Still nothing comes apart. I dont get it. Nothing should be holding that together. Any help would be appreciated and if any further information is needed, just let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes the main shaft that the spur gear goes on. It almost seems like its glued in place with a gallon of loctite or maybe the bearings are just that tight on it. Not sure but I wanted to ask around before i took a shaft and a hammer to it.

Sometimes a burr will get raised by a grub screw if the sprocket or spur gear has slipped because the grub screw came a bit loose.

If you need to use a hammer to tap it through the bearings, screw a spare 3mm bolt into the end of the shaft and beat on that rather than risk bruising the end of the layshaft.
