Default Help w/Ricky carmichael bike!!please

I just bought the bike on E-bay and the spring that turns the servo looks like it is not tight enough to turn the front wheel. It just doesn't turn like I think it should "at all really". Plus I want to upgrade the motor and speed controller so any help with upgrading the whole thing would be great.

Thanks Jim

The steering is kind of loose on the Ricky bikes, but r/c bikes in general have very loose steering connections. It really takes practice to get comfortable driving them because you actually use the brake and throttle more than the steering to turn them. Several folks have made mods to make the steering more direct.

Now that Ive had my Ricky's for a bit....Im learning alot about them and howmuch FUN they are when you just improve a few things.
Here is my main bike that Im working on now....

I bought this as a roller which was somewhat modified and now...

It's RIDICULOUS!!!! I havent clocked it's top speed, but it will wheelie, burn out, drift BIG TIME and top speed is very impressive!!!

So what did you go with for a brushless combo? Did you have to make any mods?

I'm going to pick up 2 of them this afternoon, one for myself, and one to eBay to pay for the one for myself :]

I went with the Novak 6.5 set up. As far as mods.....Im still working on those. It depends on how far you want to go. If you want to go brushless, I would recomend contacting Antonio at: totoluci@hotmail.com . Email him and ask about his parts. But to start with, you will need to get/make a spur gear adapter, Fullbearings for the wheels, and gyro. Also check RC groups dot com (Motorcycle section)for tons of threads on ricky. Hope this helps!!!
