RE: The Ofiicial Thunder Tiger Ducati 999 & Desmosedici

How come I see some of the Thunder Tiger Ducati's with upside down/inverted forks and some with conventional? Are there two different versions with the RTR's?

Nevermind, I think my eyes were deceived by the paint shading giving me the impression that they are inverted. For example, on jonmills bike where the bodywork is covering the top of the forks.

RE: The Ofiicial Thunder Tiger Ducati 999 & Desmosedici

Well, I had to get one (Desmo) since I have been into real motorcycles since the 1970's. I have been quite pleased with how it runs so far. Alot easier to control than I expected. I cut and shortened the crash bars in order to get maximum lean angle and that helps. I'm finishing engine breakin, so I can't speak for it's maximum top end. Low end is pretty good, as you can break the wheel loose if your not careful. But some of that has to do with the stock rubber. The stock electronics are good for learning. Radio is similar to the MGT's. The servos could be upgraded to more powerful one's, once you get the basics of handling. A must if you add the optional front brake. The rear shock leaks and constantly check all bolts. (Locktite is your friend)

You are correct. You also get a rear tire hugger with the Desmo and a rider that sorta looks like Loris Capirossi. I bought mine from ThunderTiger4U like mOnO n.s.G^ suggested.

Here is an updated picture of my bike, after I did some more paint work and detailing so that it looks like the GP6 version of the MotoGP racer.

i was looking for somewhere around 250 as i only used it 3 times and relized im a car guy, comes with controller old pipe and upgrade pipe, mic parts and will need a new steering kit because i installed a custom one drilling new holes, also had upgraded side bars that allow u to slip them in and out without a set screw and will also inlude charger and long reach glow plug as the dummy one sucks on the bike so i uninstalled it and use a long reach plug that i will includen fell free to ask questions, paypal perfered

No different than shipping anywhere else. You just need to ship it as a gift... ;-)

Besides that, it just costs more... But given the current exchange rate, paying 40 or even 50 bucks for shipping(if that's what it would cost..) would still be well worth it for somebody living with Euros, given prices here..

A new nitro Ducati here costs €385 shipped... That's $517....
