NF bike breaking and chain link
Hi guys,
I've got a NF SF501 nitro bike, while I was running it today I realise under heavy braking the front hops and hence causing my to crash. I am still very new to 1/5 scale bikes, hence not sure if this is normal when the bike brakes and causes the front to hop. This obviously unstable the front and cause crashes.
Then the second question, because of the crash, my chain link pop off again. This is the second chain link I've lost due to crashes. Is there way to make it more secure?
Many thanks in advance for your advise.

RE: NF bike breaking and chain link
It seems like the front brake is set too hard and is locking the front wheel. And check the following parts as well, bushing inside steering pivot worn out and have a lot of play, crash back spring damaged (not hard enough), front forks not moving freely, etc. For the chain install the clip so it will "flow with" the chain when it turn. If you install in backward it will pop off easily.

Hi ehirobo,
Thank you for your reply, ok I will give it a go to check the brake.
But with regards to the chain link, what do you mean by the clip should "flow with" the chain. I am kind of lost which way is reverse and which way is correct.
Can you explain more?
Many thanks again
