Well guys.. just had my first pretty bad crash... had my CAMERA ONBOARD THOUGH! It's amazing i've never crashed this car. and the second time a cam is onboard... BOOM!

Anyways I'm editing the video now and will post..... what I THOUGHT happened is I was making a high speed run down my hill. My street bends slightly to the right coming downhill. Anyways I was turning the tires and thought it was turning, but them BAM the back left tire caught a sewer, and I figured the front end was off the ground and it wasn't turning and this is why this happened. But looking at the video it looks like it had a SUDDEN change of direction as if I hit a bump in the road or something.

Anyways I need a new A-arm (HOW do I take the A-arm off of the chassis? It looks pretty deep in there. and I need a new shock and driveshaft... Again how do I take off the driveshaft from the transmission?

Ok where the shaft meets the trany rotate the shat and you will find a small allen screw remove it and the shaft will come off to get the back arm off on the back where the battery box is you will find 2 screws the top two ( not the ones for the shock tower the ones under them) you want the ones that are right under the trx stamp but you will remove them and the back will come off battery box and all you can get the arms off there be careful you don’t drop the gear out of the deferential

You can get exploded views of the jato on the traxxas web page they always help

Okay thank you very much... yeah the shaft seems pretty simple.... I may need to get out my manual (exploded view in there? I would think so) to get the A-Arm off... Just ordered all the parts... $32.00 shipped... not too bad!

Ha, yeah man... just apart of what we love! I've been into the plane side of the hobby for about 6 years, and I think that part of the hobby really got me ready to break stuff in THIS side of the hobby! haha I've had planes stripped down to bare wood, gluing shards of wood together to try to reform an airplane.... It's a little different in regards of repairing as cars are more mechanical and "part" oriented then airplanes, who's drive system is made up of.... an engine. fuel tank. and prop.

I got the wheelie bar at a place called VGRACING.com on the web. The spring in the bar really helps control wheelies in second gear! A local cop who is a buddy of mine clocked me at 57mph with the front wheels in the air!
I just went to that website to check out that wheelie bar and WOW, I saw over $70.00 and couldn't believe it haha... A little too pricey for a wheelie bar for me.

But anyways, I am LOVING this car. I haven't even driven it with the new body on it yet! I've ran it 4 times though since the new clutch bell and tires and I've been adjusting the slipper clutch little by little every run and am getting it closer and closer to perfect for me. This Jato RIPS, it's absolutely insane the amount of torque it has. Every time I hit the throttle from a stand still it's standing straight up, and I can hold the wheelies which is the sickest part.

Another thing I gotta tune now is the shift point. It's not shifting into second gear, I'm gonna adjust the shift point to shift earlier before the next run. This was kind of a troublesome problem from day one with the Jato though. It would shift every now and then but I could never get that set, perfect, consistent shift.
