Has anyone switched SH.18 to OS .18 in any Redcat? Or any other .18 for that matter?

I imagine as long as you buy the correct OS with the right carb it will slide right in. When the engine in my CEN blew, I had to have a standard crank, rotary carb, side exhaust engine, as that's what the NT-16 that blew was. Pull start optional but I like them and the truck accepts a pull start engine. So I got an 18 CV-RX so equipped. It literally bolted in. I didn't even have to adjust the throttle linkage!

The SH-18 appears to be a standard crank, side exhaust, rotary carb, pull start engine, so an OS .18 CV-RX w/ 11J carb should bolt right in.

look in my gallery... a few years back i bought on for my son, the first motor i put in was a traxxas 2.5 then the os cvr.. i dont have the pics of the os 18 tz or the traxxas 3.3 that i put in it but i will tell you that with the tz and the 3.3 i had to put a single speed and a slipper in it... hope this helps
