Maybe your sig is a bit inflammatory to some people:

A spirited discussion is one thing, behaving like children and getting a whole thread deleted is just unforgivable. Maybe accounts need to be suspended for a while to remind the instigators that such behavior will not be tolerated.

I believe the last part of the discussion was about gearing but I don't remember the specifics.

After all is said and done, more is said than done.

I couldn't agree with this more. Well said, Crispy.

Are you going to actually let the transmission shift or are you going to just lock it in 2nd gear?

I've entertained the idea of putting a stout .21 big block in my Jato, but not for any record attempts.. Just for the heck of it mostly. A .28 would be nuts...

Haven't been on the forums for a while but glad to see there is still interest in the high speed Jato's.  I had a few projects: 3.3, Axial .28, Losi 3.4, Brushless etc.  No Jato's now but this makes me want to get back into the high speed thing.
