Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
Here we go! Feel free to share any and all of your up's and down's with this truck. I am currently working on eliminating the UPS TRUCK like handling. I am looking forward to replacing the trx.15 with a O.S. .15 cv-r.
I upgraded my steering servo to the 2055, I probably should have gotten something else because it still seem's sluggish.

RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
I really don't think it's the servo. I have the updated one on mine, the wheels turn, but the car doesn't![&o]
Once I get the rear bulkhead replaced, I am gonna get some 25 degree castor blocks and see what kinda difference that makes. If that isn't enough, I'm gonna try to mod the front shock tower, in order to place the shocks behind it to lower the centre of gravity like the e-rustler over here. Still love my Rustler though!

I have the Pro 15 Rustler. I've put a Fantom .12 engine and a JR XR3 radio system on it. Also, I have Pro-Line Edge on the front and Pro-Line Step Pin-T on the back, mounted on Traxxas dish rims. I also have some Pro-Line street tires and chrome rims on it for the asphalt.

Hello Fella's
Well today was a heat wave I think it got up to 35. Any way I really drove the wheel right off of it. I also got to hear the max RPM[X(] for a second. (not good.) I must have missed tightening down the right rear. Does any body know if there are locking wheel hubs for the rustler? Here's a pic after a little detailing. Seem's to be holding up well.

RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
Hey Fellas,
Just got done squeezing a O.S. .15 CV-R in my Rusty. Had to grind the motor mounts to accommodate the pull start. Also had to make a little room for the idle adjust screw. The motor had already been broken in so I just set it at the factory settings and it fired right up. Leaned it out a little to eliminate bogging than WOW! Thing is like a missile. I think it has something to do with the camber of the rear wheel's that prevent's this thing from turning. I have some 0 camber block's do you guy's think these will help or hurt? For now I just have to depend on the brakes to get it to turn. Think I better get some MIP CVD's soon.[8D]

RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
This weekend will be the first time running the O.S. .15 so I think my jumps are about to be bigger. I will let you know.
With my pro .15 I was getting good air at the track. We have one area that the buggy's clear a approx. 20ft triple. I have only been able to make it a double getting about 5ft of air and flying approx. 15ft. the triple is right after a 180 degree right hand turn so the buggy's get the traction and fly, for me it's a little harder to get the power to the ground. I dont think it will be any easier with the O.S.

RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
I have an E-Maxx and of course the stock servo sucks for that truck. I had the same problems with my Rustler and my son's Stampede. I still had problems with all even after servo replacement (even on the Maxx with a new airtronics 200 oz/in servo) problems were solved with the replacement of the stock servo saver with a Kimbrough heavy duty saver (#121 I think). You may have already tried this but a worthwhile $6 mod if not.
