Flywheel stuck after many years of no use
Hello, i have 2x Nitro RC cars, they have been laying for like 6~7 years, i decided to return to RC cars, i cleaned them etc, but i got a problem, On the one car the Flywheel is kinda thight but i can spin it with my hand, but it's still too tight to start up, on other one i need to use screwdriver and a lot power to push it...
What is the problem, is there a way to fix it without taking the motor apart?
PS. Sorry if i posted in wrong place, i'm new to forums and don't know what to do!

Gummy dried oil. Put some fuel or acetone down the carb and glow plug hole. Let soak for a few minutes. Then take a hairdryer to the crankcase and it should loosen right up.

I used air tool oil as an after run oil. It also works to loosen up a tight engine. I had one engine that sat for 10 years and wouldn't even turn over with the plug out. Poured air tool oil in it, let it sit for a day and it loosened up nicely. After that it ran like new.

Fuel? I doubt it unless it isn't very stuck at all. I tried fuel in the one that had sat for 10 years and it didn't work at all. Acetone might but it can destroy the seal. Air tool oil is cheap and works great. I bought mine at Kmart for $5 a pint and used that one pint for a couple of years.
I have used fuel in some gummed up engines that will turn over with a lot of force but that was before I found air tool oil. I tried Marvel Mystery oil first but air tool was a much, much lower cost alternative..

Thanks guy, in the end i took engines out of both cars, took out the part that covers piston and cleaned it all with Kerosene, both cars run very good now!
