Default The official Duratrax nitro thread!

Hey post some pics of your nitro duratrax cars, trucks, buggies, whatever. Tell me what you've owned or what you want or whatever. If i knew how to post some pics i would. I have owned Max st, max mt, and just bought evader bx. I want a thunder quake, i bet it would eat a t-maxx. AND I DONT'T WANT TO HEAR DURATRAX SUCKS! THEY ARE A VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY. Thanks!

Duratrax rocks! I own a Overdrive ST for a year and I put it through hell yet NEVER broke a part. You ask me and I'll say its the best money I'v ever spent. I would choose a Duratrax over a T-Maxx any day.

Anyways I'm sorry but I don't have any pictures yet because my digital camera wasn't working but i just got it to so I will post some pics later. The thing about the Overdrive is that its so reliable and with the 2 speed tranny.....it hits incredibal top speeds. It features the Velocity .17 wich is the lager version of the engine wich they use in the Streetforce GP wich does 50+. Another cool thing is the reversing gear. I never had and stripping problems with it or anything. Also its got all that nice, shinny aluminum.... I also flipped it countless times and smashed head on into pole...and again...no damage! I am very impressed with this truck yet everyones like "oh Duratrax sucks..." , "they should call it Duratrash..." ect. If you ask me it should be called Dura-mineisfasterandbetterthenyours . I'm going to close this post by saying DURATRAX IS THE BEST!

I have never owned a Duratrax car, and never plan too. I must say I am pleased with my Duratrax Intellipeak charger. Had it for a couple years and it works great. Right now it is retired to charging up receiver batteries and radio batteries. Great charger for the money!

ive had the street force gp for 2 yrs now and to tell yout he truth its a copy of the hpi rs4. this car is good if your a beginner but once i started to pick up the pase and do more things and go faster i started braking things. you put more money into this car than you do buying gas. ive broken the steering, wheels, shock towers, and turnbuckles. that may not sound like much but to me it seems im working on the car more than im driving it, so im switching to offroad savage ss kit for xmas. the thunder quake i think is really nice BIG but i havnt seen to mayn ho ups for it and ive heard taht duratrax aint the best company. you also gotta think the thudner quake might eat the t-maxx but they are to different sizes 1/8 and 1/10 so off corse the 1/8 quake will eat the t-maxx. another thing is the shocks are terrible. i have hpi rs4 shocks on it and its alot better.

You know what is so ironic? i spent 250 on my evader +20 tax and 9 on gas. I spent 280 and i am untouchable!. Does anyone know what i would have to do to convert my bx to a st? I think maybe just wheels and shock towers. But i don't know. Ithink i am going to start a "truggy" project. Put some mahsers all around! eh, that would probably look retarded...But i only have a inch of gc! That sux.. Scratch the hell out of it when i run on small gravel.. I WANT MY PART DURATRAX!!!! WAAAAAA!HAAAAA!

Do you think I could fit T-Maxx tires on my Overdrive? I would probably need a deep off-set wheel. Or do you think I should just put some big 2.2 inch truck tires like the Masher 2000's. Well anythings possible if you put your mind to it.....

About converting your bx into a st.....I think you sould just leave it, I like buggies. And I got alot of ground clearence but I still got alot of scratches.....theres nothing that can stop it. Hope you get on the track soon and kick some *****!

Ya me too! I think maxx wheels would look dorky cause they are like 5.75 in diameter. Get some masher 2000s they are huge! I re positioned my shocks and stiffened em up a bit and i now have 2 1/4 in gc!

The T-Maxx wheels would look good because I'm putting on a 8 shock conversion for my truck and also getting a T-Maxx body so it will actually look like a T-Maxx. I also altered my suspention so with the big Maxx tires I will actually have a higher ground clearence then a stock maxx. I am also putting in the EPIC .18 so I will be faster then a Maxx. I am makeing a sweet body so I will look cooler then a Maxx. I am going to have all of my parts aluminum so I will be more durable then a Maxx. And the great thing is it will cost as much as a stock T-Maxx (with all the upgrades and the price including my truck). I can't wait!!

yay! [sm=thumbup.gif]

It does sound expensive for what I'm doing to my truck but its not really. Don't get me wrong, it is pricy but I got a gay paper route but it does give good money....$100 a month. I am saving up so by the time summer comes, it should be ready to kill!

I own Nitro Evader ST, electric Evader ST and a Warhead EVO and i love them to bits.I love duratrax and i think they are the best trucks you can get,in my opinion anyway. There are a few trucks i would like to own(Duratrax ofcourse,I wouldnt own anything else)like a Nitro Demon,Firehammer MT, and MiniQuake, just to name a few.Duratrax also has a great service. The engine blew up in my Evader (i didnt do it)and i sent it to them and a couple weeks later i got a brand new engine free of charge.
