Just some places when I was looking for a pipe.

Is any one better than the other? Basicly im just looking for the best bang for buck. Or atleast a really good justification to really really pricey ones.

edit.. cvec.com is a crop company lol.. http://www.cvecpowersystems.com/ is the link you want I think

Oh !

I like this a lot. Wouldn't it cause the car to be heavier on one side though since the radio tray is not counterbalanced by the pipe any more ?

I was wondering the same thing.. If so you may have to add a few weights to the side to balance it out.. I guess thats a price to pay for bling.

not sure, the one thing i was worried about is, if there is enough clearance where the header passes, when hitting bumps or landing jumps

i'm going to call them next week and ask some questions, i'll throw your question at them too.

other than the obvious of the motor being better on the 18ss. what other advantages/upgrades are there to sway me towards the 18ss instead of the rtr. i have a radio/servos already. i will be upgrading whichever one i get to handle jumps/bashing. the price is so close. which one is a better deal?

The drivetrain is MUCH better.

I've seen guys go through standard MT2 differencial spider gears in their first week using the puny .15 nitro star. The gears are cut and not casted, hell the are even better than the one that came with my JamminX1CR pro buggy diffs.

whats the best method of shimming HD diffs in a MT2? I should get mine tomorrow along with the diff springs, and I just want to make sure I know how to set them up right. Any suggestions?
I'm picking these diff's up this afternoon. Any advice?

I got the rtr and I would definitely suggest getting the 18ss especially if you already have the electronics. The kit already has all the heavy duty stuff you're gonna want and for the most part need.

Well, I just got back from my LHS with the HD diffs. Man are those things heavy. They should be a big improvement. I am trying to install them now. I figured I would check and see if you guys had posted anything about the install before I jumped into it. I can't wait for the results

so if i get the 18ss i shouldnt have to worry at all about the diffs stripping or just not worry as much?are the axles and linkages all better material too? i appreciate the input. it will definately help me decide.

You shouldn't have to worry about any of the drivetrain breaking with a .18 engine. It is a nice truck. I wish I would have got the SS kit instead of the RTR. I have just now got mine all upgraded though.

BTW, I got the new HD diffs and springs installed. This truck is awesome now. Man what a difference. I like the LSD's all the way around since I installed the diff springs. I put medium in the front and soft in the rear.

Don't have either myself, still using the stock ones that came with it. But if you decide to get one or the other, the pros/cons are...carbon-lighter than aluminum and probably the plastic, aluminum-heaviest, and they are stiffer than plastic, but can bend no matter how strong. or they will end up breaking something else because of the lack of flexibility.

Got the carbon fiber shock towers and deck, the chassis is more responsive than before (less flex in the chassis). Have been driving the truck with those upgrades for a couple of weeks now, got some bad landings and everything still holding strong. They are lighter than aluminum. But I'm pretty sure if I get a direct to the chassis at high speed something is going to broke it's strong material but not indestructible(curb or a tree).

I don't think the carbon shock towers reduces the chassis flex. The carbon upper dock does however.

The carbon fiber deck reduce the chassis flex for sure , the shock tower however make the suspension more responsive due to less flex than plastic and more work done by the shock absorbers.
