if you have the t-15 with out the hpi mounts the only spur you can use is the stock....with a 47t spur you will have more top end and with a 52t spur you will have more acceleration

I upgraded my T-15 from the 12T CB to the 13T heavy duty CB from the savage and have had no problems. I ordered the bearings and cone washers for the 18SS and it dropped right on. Even passes the paper test.

I used the above parts and built the CB using the 18ss instructions.

The first off road race of the season at hobbytown Columbus GA. was today. The weather was great sunny around 60 degrees, and the
attendance was very good. Didn't race the mt2 but raced the xxx-nt 2wd, will the mt2 the next race. 46u Cliff was one of the Macon racers who use to
race with us. A guy from Warner Robbins raced today.

Yes I know Cliff and the guy over there today was Tony as I helped him with his MT 2 till 11:30 pm last night. I hear his diff gears went out and I told him months ago to get the heavy duty ones. I all so told him some other things but he is finding out the hard way. He is a good guy. He wants me to go with him in two weeks but you do not have a buggy class. I guess I could run my Savage but I really need a new steering servo as the one in it has way to much slop and a servo like I need for it is around $100. This is Clifford.

Should have gotten the RACE CB it is harder and vented. That is what I run on my MT, Savage and Hyper 8. Unless you have a really strong engine you do not want to run a 47 spur. With a T15 you are better to keep the 52 and with a OS 18 CV-RX 49 for off road any how. I run a 47 but I have the OS 18 TZ in my MT. Now in my Savage I run the 49 spur.

From everthing I have read the venom are not very good. Some one on this thread was saying they tried them and did not work well at all. Just do not beleive you can beat the hand held.

46U what i ment to say was . what are the cheapest models of the savage as i am thinking of geting one?
Sorry but have not keep up with the prices of Savages in a while as the one I have is just fine. But I will tell you if I were to get a new one it would have to be the 4.6SS or the X SS. The K4.6 is the best engine that ever came stock in a Savage. 7 or 8 gallons on mine and still going strong. Keeps up with any of the Revo’s on the track!

Yes, diff problems...I'm having some trouble once again with mine. I'm running the hardened ones however about 2 months ago, the set-screw popped out of the diff cup and the gears slipped causing the pinion to loose 4 teeth. The heavy-duty final gear survived though and so I just put in the hardened 13T pinion for the original MT. Has been working OK, however the grub screw that secures the cup onto the pinion flatspot has popped out tonnes of times despite heavy threadlocking.

Tonight it popped out again, however the gear must have slipped when it happened and now the rear diff is clicking big time. I will take it apart tommorrow - I think I might just go ahead and order another set of the proper hardened diff/final gear for the MT2. The MT pinion is fine, but the way the diff cup secures onto it is a real weak point.

A real pain as well - the car was running so nicely! BTW 46u, when you shimmed the pinion what shims did you use? From memory you once posted up a link to a Tower Hobbies part number for those - this is one isn't it?

if i were you you should definatley upgrade tha diffs and maybe a hardened spur gear.also you would get a lot more performance with a tuned pipe try the tsais rear pipe as a lot of people run it in this forum
