Need more help with pull starters. I originally had the roto start, but i have lost the starter, so i was using a drill, but it was my dads and he has to use it for work. So now i am stuck with a mt2, newly fixed and no way to start the bugger.
i was looking on the HPIRacinguk website, and they have a pull starter but the engine dosnt look the same
Can someone look at the photos included and tell me what one of these is the correct one for my car?
Thanks

I went to the hobby shop today and got very lucky.

I have been searching for the carbon fiber upper deck for the MT2 for a few months. I havent been able to find it anywhere. I have checked online sites, ebay and found nothing.

My LHS had one, so I bought it.

I will update pics after I put it on. I need to buy a flat battery pack for it though.

So I have had an MT2 since it first came out. I decided to buy another one to build up and put an O.S. motor in it.

Then I stumbled on [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320606285233&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT]THIS[/link].

It just has $150.00 worth of the GPM aluminum parts on it. AND it makes 10 - 20 HP because of a muffler.
As a side note... I hope none of you believe this. Not one single 1/10 scale RC car makes more than 1 hp out of the box.

He probably meant 10-20% more HP.. Not that it would make that much more anyway.
And the OS TZ has close to 2HP out of the box.

Either way, do you think the car is worth $750 or more?

only thing usable IMO is the battery box, tires, front knuckles, and diffs everything else would need to be replaced, and the aluminum taken to a recycling center
$150 IMO would almost be asking alot and thats ONLY if the engine is in great shape

Reminds me of a Savage X I saw on craigslist for $1000 it had every thing integy every made slapped on it

How are you guys keeping your bearings in the aluminium knuckles? I upgrades the knuckles on my truck to GPM parts and the bearing keeps popping out on the left hand side. Tried red locktite on the outer race and it still pops out. Any ideas?

I keep blowing the diffs in my xl.... its starting to drain my wallet. I sold my mt2 to a good friend of mine last summer and so far the fastest we have had it up to was 55 mph (clocked with my car) thats with the tz and a single speed transmission still.

wow.... He wants 750 dollars for that thing???? I'm having a hard time selling my revo with a picco 26 and spectrum radio for 350........ I dont get it lol. Oh and he typed MPH hot HP on the add but still a pipe wont give you that much more speed. Lots of 1/10th scale rc's come with over "1 hp" out of the box there are very few rc's out there now that dont have at least 1.3 hp

Holy crap - Eminent, nice to see you again. I thought you were dead. The last think I remember is you thought you fried your XL motor not too long after getting it.

Oh not alot new here, My wife and I had another baby 3 monts ago, we had a girl named her Keirstyn. I thought I fried the 5.9 but for some reason its still running alright on almost no compression. This has been the worst summer for bashing ever I dont even think I have used 1/2 a galon of fuel yet lol and now we have snow

Kieth, how do you like that flux? A friend of mine has one and put some better engines and batteries in it I cant believe the power those things have

Congrats on the baby. That makes 2 right?
The power of the Flux is insane. Im only running 4S and it still flips over as soon as you go WOT. I couldnt imagine 6S. Dont get me wrong I love my nitro Savage but the brushless is so much easier to get running. And it doesnt scare the baby with noise. I havent had a chance to run my MT2 in a while. I had taken it to the track, which is gone at the moment, but the TZ was too much power for the dirt. Just kept spinning out. Definitely geared more towards on road or a heavier truck. I was thinking about trying it in my D8 but I wasnt sure if that would be too heavy.

Yupper got 2 kids now and couldnt be happier, Kierstyn is 3 monts old and Dominic just turned 6 yesterday. He loves coming out when we go bashing. I bought him a couple cheap rc's and he loves it. Its going to be getting up to 15 degrees this week so i'm going out bashing as much as I can

Kieth whats a D8?
