The GPM shocks have thicker bodies and heavier springs the the HPI. The are very sturdy shocks. I've had good luck with all of the GPM parts Ive used. I dont think you will be dissappointed.

i think the problem is that the truck doesn't really fit into most tracks' race classes. personally im gonna have to run mine in the nooby class, which is fine with me cus ive never raced before, but it means less people bought them over the years. im kinda surprised that 4wd st never became popular, ive driven a couple 2wd st and a big 4wd mt and can honestly say i have the most fun with this truck.

Oh i forgot about that most tracks run 2 wheel drive and not 4 but i mean all the same i,m sure if the front dog bones were taken off it could compete i like the way it handles well at least to my liking a find it easy to control once you get the hang of the throttle break and steering my truck rocks with the 3.3 trx in it lol

yeah that would work, as long as your track doesn't have a problem with it (which they shouldn't). its just a bit heavy to race against other 2wds i think.
im rockin the o.s. 18cv. and loving it. such a torquey motor, it really does well in the mt2. i can't wait for my gpm aluminum to get here from hong kong so i can actually get this thing going again.

did rear wheel drive before on it. Doesn't handle that well due to the weight distribution IMO.
But ya 4wd ST's didn't catch on maybe due to 1/8th scale buggies being a similar size.

yeah that makes sense. my favorite thing about it is that its so versatile. good as a basher or a track racer (assuming there are people driving something you can race against). I have plans to have a ton of set ups for mine: racing, all-terrain bash, sand dune, on-road, etc. but i think most people like going with a more specialized vehicle.

Hi guys,
got an MT2 G3.0 off fleEbay before xmas and love it.
Got a 6v hump pack just after but i cant seem to make it fit, any advice as to a) does it fit, and b) if so, how and where?

I put my dsm radio in the battery box and put the battery where the receiver was with a wire tie downthat mounts where the two gold screws are in the pics. I wishI could have used the oldreceiver box cover.Down in the corner of the battery box you can see the heading hold gyro. I don't drive too well and it keepsthe car where I point it under power. I have twoengines for it, a .32 collariand a Nitro star s25.

nitrokillr, you are putting the battery in the wrong place. It should go next to the servo and the receiver goes where you have the battery pack.

The spektrum antenna is very short to go from the reciever box to the antenna post on the battery box. My battery didn't fit in the battery box. Also I wanted to move some weight forward to offset the weight of the big block motor. I should make a better hold down for the battery. It came loose one time, but that was a cartwheeling crash from about 50mph. I also like to keep the reciever/gyro in there to protect them from water.

my aluminum finally got here from hong kong! got the silver gpm steering knuckles sitting in their purple c hubs. i like how it looks, clearances are good, now all i gotta do is try it out after my damn finals are finished.

Got the new body on and tossed the Blitz wheels and hexes on there just for fun.
Waiting on steering "pilot shafts" to come off backorder and she'll be RTR.
Maybe they'll let me run it as a 4X4 nitro SCT at the track lol.

I still have a set in similar shape from my 1st MT1 that I bought used. I actually glued them to a new rim set cause the old rims were breaking.
I swear the original pro-line dirt-hawgs seemed to never wear out, and had damn good grip.

Never wear out unless you are just roasting the tires on pavement with an RC10GT..

Braking strength. There is only one pad so you dont have the front rear balance.
