yea I looked at the o.s pipes, a pretty penny though... have you thought about the silver bullet or the rear exhaust? which one is better and why? which isn't going to get damaged as easily?

Yes I have considered it and most say there is no problem keeping from messing it up. OK I am not saying this is true just my opinion. Where the header pipe goes in to the tuned pipe the exhaust gasses have to make an abrupt 90-degree turn. I am sure it is a good pipe but think for all out performance there are better. I would love to see dyno test on them and other pipes.

Just finished building my XSS kit....here a couple of photos of it with my MT2!
Man I always thought the MT2 was big, but man the Savage is massive!

46u - just a quick question, I have noticed the camber of the wheels is on a slight outward slant. Not the toe-in/toe-out setting but the angle of the wheel....See photo. Everything is as per the instruction manual, tie-rods adjusted to exactly the length as specified. Does it look OK? I suppose I won't really know until I run it, but I just noticed it was quite a bit different to the MT2. I have seen other big MTs with that kind of wheel config - in particular an LST2, so I'm thinking its pretty normal?

I'll have to look at the brake disc he is running. I can't remember now. I know its not the black plastic one with the holes in it. I want to say its a fiber one with holes.... I'll double check later.

What is a good plug to run in my .18 CV-R running %20 nitro?

Also, what is a good plug for the xtm 24.7 running %20 nitro also?

Is it a turbo head...?
Yes the TZ has the turbo head. This is why I was talking the P style plug.

I have the nitro devil on mine, I highly recommend it. Its a great pipe and I have also raced it with this with very good results, as well as the odd bash session - using that word lightly of course.

Your front has far too much negative camber and the rear toe-in should be adjusted (neg) as well as the front (pos).

Sorry guys...triple posting!!!!

As far as glow plugs keep in mind there are many variables. In the OS 18 CV-RX on 20% I would try an OS A3 or OS #8. The OS plugs will work in other engines but are really to short for most of them so I only run OS plugs in my OS engines. On the XTM I would run a medium plug like a RB CP-02.

Now keep in mind change heat ranges of plugs changes the timing to a degree and if you change it too much can be departmental to the engine. I posted this several times and I am not saying to use OS in all your engines just some good all round information. As all ways keep and eye on your plugs, as it will tell you a good bit about how your engine is running.

Thanks, I picked up both an A3 and A8 when I got my CV-R. I'm pulling out the plug tonight to inspect. It will have a gallon of gas on it in a week or two more of running.

The XTM is almost finished being broke in and I like to change plugs after break in. The XTM requires the longer glow plug correct?

From what I understand there are actually 3 length plugs but one of them is for some Traxxas. But yes I would think your XTM takes the longer plug then the OS. XTM are made by SH. What do you have the XTM in? I would like to have a XTM 457 for my Savage but think it would be too much for racing.

Yes that is my Savage with off set wheels and a WHOLE LOT more, my MT and my Hyper8. I have others but do not run them much at all.

The XTM is in my brother's Mammoth ST. He just got it a few weeks ago and I'm breaking the motor in for him.

I read up on that 457 motor... man what a power house..... This Mammoth ST is the first time i've hands on time with a truggy (well pretty close to a truggy) and I gotta say I'm impressed and this isn't even one of the nicer truggies. I'm REALLY thinking about getting a truggy now. Maybe a Jammin and putting that 457 motor in it. For $160 thats a sweet deal on a motor and it has to be crazy fast. Possibly to fast.

most of us have only aluminum knuckles because that is all that is really needed and any un needed aluminum parts are just extra weight
