Would you recommend this?

No as stainless is very strong but brittle. Better for a screw to bend then break where were you still have to get half of it out. All so do some research on stainless screwed to aluminum and what sort of chemical reaction you have.
Reaction? I didn't think there would be a reaction?

Do some research and be enlightened. I have see what happens on motorcycles and jet skis! Now they do have a lube to put on it to help cut down on the reaction between the two.

Crikey, I'll look into that. If a reaction exists between the two, I won't bother buying that screw set. Do they do a screw set with the black screws that come as basic with the car (not sure what they are made of?)

i know you need a race clutch bell for a steel spur. i was just using that picture as an example for nitro-is-deadly. but i did state in the text he would need a HD race clutch bell. i personally would not run a steel spur gear in my mt2. i have not had a problem with my plastic spur gear (knock on wood) and its around 1 and a half years old now.

I am sorry but all I saw was the HD CB and a part number for a HD NOT the race CB. The HD CB will eat up a metal spur. Correct me if I am wrong but that is what is in the post with the picture and was trying to help to keep from messing up a $50 Spur. Sorry for giving my 2 cents will not do that again! Do agree with the plastic spurs as I have never had a problem with them even in my 12 pound Savage.

you can use anything but the reason people use fuel bottels is as it is easyer to fill up the tank with a fuel bottle

I'd say it's a great thing to have as if you squeeze the bottle and place the head into the fuel container, it sucks it up for you, so there's no mess or loss of fuel through spilling.

Well I've gone and ordered the engine mounts for my MT2, 46u. They seem to be out of stock at most websites but I found a company that stocked them (I don't want to order them from Tower as I'd be waiting ages). I've also gone and ordered various screws that I require (and the cone washers to avoid any more clutch bell problems).

adz06 - That set looks good.

what do you guys think of a 17-47 gear ratio set up?

17 tooth clutch bell and 47 tooth spur?

its the stock savage gearing. think it would work good in a mt2?

The 17/47 is only stock on the SS Savage and most other Savage models are much lower. Try it but I think it will be might high on an OS 18 CV. Keep in mind big blocks have a lot more torque the small blocks.

Yes you can as I updated my MT2 RTR to a pull start (far superior in my opinion). I don't live in the States, but everyone on this forum seems to use Tower Hobbies.
