Do not get the hpi nitro star 18ss!! just a word of warning. its just as bad as the t-15 to tune, randomly stalls and runs hotter than other engines. many people on here will say to get the os .18cvrx but i have searched high and low in the uk for a os .18cvrx and failed to fine one. although i did find one but it was a short shaft. if you want a good, fast & reliable engine get the LRP z18s pro, no question about it. its a brilliant engine. its around £90-£110.
Can you tell me a bit more about the LRP z18s pro? In terms of clutch bells, etc. Does it take the HPI clutch bells and fly wheel? (Also, does it take the HPI engine mount? Thanks in advance.
the LRP z18s Pro is a great engine it is fast, easy to tune, holds a tune great, starts great and to top it off its cheap!. any clutch bell will fit & the same with the fly wheel off the t-15. i bought a new flywheel (not sure what make it is but it was recomended by the hobby store) i have a HD 13T k.factory clutch bell and hpi racing clutch shoes. do get the engine you will not be disappointed. i know im not

here is a link to the company LRP. [link]http://www.lrp-electronic.de/e/lis/[/link] it has technical data ect about the engine
So will the current arm I have coming off the servo link straight up to the LRP? My only concern is how well the engine will work with the other elements of the MT2, but I am now seriously considering buying this engine. Thanks again.

(Will the HPI washers that I have fit this engine too? There are little screws, bearings and stuff that go on the engine shaft, just wondering whether all these will fit, or if they need to be bought from this company?)
the servo linkage you have on the car at the moment will work with any rotary carb. and the LRP is a rotary carb so it will work. you might want to change the servo horn to the 3 hole setting. the basic one you have at the moment is only a 1 hole setting on the servo arm? right?. if you look at the spares that come with the mt2 rtr you will see they have supplied servo horns/arms. use the 3 hole one. if your unsure what im on about ill post a picture, just ask . the only thing i would replace if your getting a .18 is the HD differentials. i have just been fitting mine. the cone washers, bearings, collet, engine mounts, flywheel, clutch bell will all fit on to the
engine as it is a standard shaft engine just like the t-15. honestly do buy the engine. it is one sweet engine.

my setup is... flywheel (not sure of the make i will find out), HD K-Factory Clutch bell, HPI racing clutch shoes, bearings, cone washer ect.

Got it and I replied.

46u was mentioning about how they sent him a message about his avatar also. Sounds like they are cracking down on brand advertisement.

this is what you'll get for $20. Better than stock but you can get a lot better for more $$$. you'll have to make up your own bracket for it.

I ran this pipe and liked it

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCPX4&P=ML

There is a new one out by HPI that looks nice but I don't have the link.

I'm running this and love it.

Yes the THS racing pipe from towers will work on the CV-RX. I had it on my truck for a little while before getting my Tsais pipe.

and yes the stock HPI pipe will work on the CV-RX also.

yeah i am serious lol! it is in their policy now. the admin told me to remove my avator not my Sig.
but in their policy it states you cannot advertise brands that do not advertise RCU in your Avator, sig & now your member name lol!

Please, nobody else get banned! You're all too helpful!

Got a question: When people describe 'sealing' an engine, incase of air leaks, etc. How exactly do you go about sealing an engine and what do you use?
