I'm still having a lot of probems with my electronics. My servos constasntly twitch. My batteries are good, running at 5.7 V. Im going to try a new crystal in my receiver, and if that doesnt work im thinking of getting a new radio. Is the Spektrum DX3.0 good? Do 2.4 gHz sytems decrease the chances of interference? If anyone has any ideas of what the poblem may be, please let me know.

2.4 gig is the answer to RC prayers from way back and I think you would be better off not to waste your money on a crystal. Do your servos just twitch when your starting your car? Or do they twitch while your driving? If its smooth driving then forget about it, a lot of them twitch when being started on the bench and after you remove the glow starter its a go. Could explain but it takes to long[] If you need any more info PM me and I'll see if I can help you out[&o]

I just picked up 2 of these in a trade.....no time to read 800 pages of postsLOL...1 of them is an 18ss the other is an older model with the 15 in it....
I have an OS18cvrx I was thinking of puttin in the 18ss..then swapping the 18ss engine into the 15 model...is this realistic? Also any tips for a noob to these trucks...do the diffs need shimming to run better? or wear better?

I just threw in my new .18 CVRX, man that thing is sweet. Im only about 2 tanks into break in, it started to rain [&o] . Anyway, yea, my servos do twitch mostly right after turn on, but even after that they make a buzzing noise like the are under load, but dont really move much. I think i am going to get a new Spektrum DX2.0 - $130 on ebay.

Theyre actually traxxas jato rear tires and wheels, there are a few tread designs available, but the ones I have are [link=http://www.buytraxxas.com/product_info.php?products_id=2451]http://www.buytraxxas.com/product_info.php?products_id=2451[/link] . Here is the page with all the choices, but be sure if you order some they are for the rear of the jato. http://www.traxxas.com/products/acce...ire-wheels.htm

Ran a Spektrum DX3 for over a year and just recently up dated to a React. With 2.4GHz give up about worrying about interference, frequencies or crystals. Why do you think every major radio manufacture has one now!

No problem. Before you mount them youve got to grind off the circular part protuding off of the wheel hexes because the jato wheels where the hexes go in arent deep enough- its simple to do thogh.

Ive heard a lot of people talk about masher 2000's, ive ever used them though. THey definately give the truck more ground clearance... [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUM93&P=ML]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUM93&P=ML[/link]

All depends on what type of surface you run on, grass, hard pack dirt, loose dirt, muc or so on.

I tried these but did not like them as when I turned the front wheels the tires hit the body and having more ground clearance makes the truck roll over easier. I guess a lot has to do with what type of driving you do.
