Official X-Cellerator Thread
I see all these other official threads for different trucks and thought that the x-cellerator should have it's own too. I know it's new but it's slowly becoming popular everyday. X-C owners can come here to talk about their tricked out trucks or tell stories about some of your experiences. I don't care what it is as long as it's X-C related. No flame wars!
My truck is pretty much stock expect for a futaba s3003 throttle servo, light blue and orange fuel tubing, and a motor saver air filter. I plan on getting hitec metal geared throttle and steering servo, titanium turnbuckles, and an o.s. .12 CV-R engine to start racing.
I'll try to get some pics in the future but till then other pics are welcomed.

Yes, the hop-up situation is disturbing, but eventually, when people find out how good it is, they will start making them. Or so i hope. Im enarly ready to order all the alum parts on hobbypeople, and im getting lunsford ti turnbuckles.

The Nitro ST has about the same... it was a matter of time before this truck was going to make it "official". Good luck finding hopups guys.

RE: Official X-Cellerator Thread
Yeah...im kinda mad about the lack of hopups myself...But this is what i plan on doing after i get the money. I have some questions as well.
1)Aluminum hubs
2)Titanium turnbuckles plus rpm heavy duty rod ends
3)reciever pack and charger (can you reccomend a combo that will work without modification to the plugs etc?)
4)aluminum front a arms
5)new steering servo (will a 625 mg be good? Also will it it have the power to move the bigger tires i am looking into getting such as the masher 2000s or something similiar?)
6)new body (can you guys reccomend a sharp pre painted body for use on my xcel?) The body would preferably be blue/white, i dont know what prepainted bodies will fit on the xcel...
7)venom failsafe
8)new shocktowers/shocks. Where can i get some nice aluminum ones?
9) New tires. Gladiator/the edge for bashing around in my backyard (grass dirt etc)
Anyone able to answer the above questions?

I dont know where to get hop ups for that truck, as far as bodys, people paint and sell bodys on ebay all the time, perhaps contact a painter and see if they can paint you one up. As far as aluminum, your guess is good as mine. The steering servo, I have a Jr z590 and I push my mashers around just fine, its not to spendy of a servo, I dont know the specs on it, but its Metal Geared, and I have not stripped it, I had the ballcups on the steering assembly pop off before it got stripped.
Again, check ebay for your aluminum and other hopups.

RE: Official X-Cellerator Thread
ICrashThings,
I know there aren't a lot of hop-ups but I'm talking about the things you did to it like change out the radio gear, different servos, engines, etc. I went to xtm main website and found a x-cellerator forum. It also had a pic gallery of hopped up X-Cs. For example: one X-C had a pair of integy piggyback shocks on the front and back with many other upgrades.
Anyone have any suggestions for a FM radio that is around 150$? I almost lost my truck today because I went to far for the range. It was kind of scary because I don't have a failsafe. Good thing I can run fast. My truck wasn't going that fast it was just that I didn't know what the hell happened.
This saturday I'm going to race for fun with friends from my LHS. It's going to be fun. Does any know any places in new jersey that hold races or can someone tell me where I can look on a website?

Well, I cant buy ti for like a couple more weeks, so you fellas just made the urge stringer. I started with onroad, then to STs, no to the real deal. A MT is much more versitile i think. In can drinve under nearly any conditions.

Here is a list of ingredients for speed... get the Rolling chassis kit from Hobby People, pick a stellar engine such as the Fantom 12 rear exhaust! and stick with the rest on the truck. No doubt, it'd be a truck to reckon with, oh yeah, slap on one of the fantom racing pipes!

What is a test I can do to check without a temp. gun? What should I look for? I put a very small water droplet on the engine head and it evaporated in like 1.5 seconds. Is this normal?
