Traxxas Nitro Rustler Steering Problem
On my Rustler I can steer to the right but when I turn left it does not do anything. On the Controller I turn the steering knob all the way to the left and then it works just fine, I can steer both left and right. But when the steering knob is right in the middle I can only steer to the right. Any suggestions. Nothing is bent up front all parts are in working condition, just a wierd flaw of some kind. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

WOW! very weird indeed.
Umm... try trimming it to the point where it does work and then take out the steering saver and adjust it to be lined up.

RE: Traxxas Nitro Rustler Steering Problem
I have taken the rustler to hobbytown usa and they say everything is fine on it, they have tried replacing certain parts that may affect the steering but everything seems to be fine. As of right now they have called traxxas to see if they know what could be the problem with the steering. the problem is that the rustler will not turn left and can only turn right. On the contoller if you turn the knob all the way to the left then steering is all ok, you can turn left and right. But when the knob is centered, lined up with the red line, you can only turn the rustler to the right it will not turn to the left.

I would switch the linkages from the reciever to the servos so the turning does the throttle servo and see if your transmitter is broken (unless you've tried that, you can never be too sure.) That might mess up your reciever or servos, so don't try it if somebody yells at me. You could check your crystal and see if the plugs or whatever are messed up also.

Have you hit anything with it? If so you may have stripped a gear in the servo. Been there and done that which is why I run only metal gear servos now.

HEY MAN...I KNO UR PROB..I HAVE HAD IT BEFORE...MY DAD SHOWED ME THE SOLUTION. (1) TURN UR CONTROLER AND CAR AND PUT STEER CENTER TO THE CENTER. (2) TURN UR CAR OFF AND THEN UR CONTROLER(THIS IS IMPORTNANT). MAKE SURE UR TIRES ARE STRAIGHT. DISCONECT THE PART ON THE SERVER THAT MAKES TIRES TURN WITHOUT TURNING THE THE TIRES. REPLACE THE PART..I THINK THATLL FIX IT...IF ITS CONFUSING..I MIGHT SEND U PICS OR JUNK. PEACE
