Default RC10GT 3 Piece wheels?

Any of you guys try out Associated's 3 piece wheels. Apparently you don't have to glue your tires, the rims screw together. Just wondering how well they worked, cause it seems like a good idea.

good idea? It does on paper, but they blow apart on you. Not worth the money.

ORIGINAL: Nitro Rustler Racer

yea...it was like the worst money i spent on my GT. Nothing like a ST going 30mph and POP gos the wheel. [:-]

I have them on my GT now and they are ok... They haven't flown apart on me but i do have to reset the bead into the rim about every other time i run... that part kind of sucks... Also i had to drill out the center of the wheel because my stock axels wouldn't go through...
