RC 10 GT owners
sorry to be asking a question that i am sure has been asked a thousand times, but my friend has the RC 10 GT, and this thing isn't as sturdy as i remember them being 8 years ago. the brakes don't really lock up, and the front A-arms are flimsy. any suggestions on how to beef her up a bit? thanks

As with all hobbies, just keep chucking money at it!
Seriously though, all the parts on that truck are replaceable with stronger aftermarket parts. Just spend some time reading here in this forum, or cruise around ebay or other websites, and you'll see tons of stuff for sale for these things, and what mods you can do. As far as the brake goes, make sure the linkage is adjusted correctly so that the servo is pulling on that rod nice and tight when you apply brake. To be honest, I've never been that impressed with the brakes on mine either.

RE: RC 10 GT owners
tighnen up the brakes put some shock oil in the shocks, as it sounds the shocks are just moving up and down easy correct?? You might need to rebuild the shocks or get new ones. That fixes the non locking up brakes and the flimsy a-arms. You might mean they are cheap plastic but if thats what u ment then u can always get hopped up parts pretty cheap for a GT. Mine was awsome. I had aluminum a arms and my brakes did lock up when i pressed them I would always get going down the road and hit them and slide lol.

My GT RTR came fine with everything working great.
Just tighten the Brake like they said and look into Products like RPM because they have these awesome plastic parts that are really hard to brake.

Not like you'll break any a-arms unless you drill a post at full tilt anyway... but if you want to make your truck a really funny blue color then yea, get the rpm arms You could get black ones too, but sheesh who would want to do that when you can have BLUE!?!

RE: RC 10 GT owners
i can vouche for that brake system too it works like a charm and once it's set you'll never have to touch it again except maybe if the brake strap wears out...(maybe once every 2 years or something)
