Default My truck will not hook up!!!

I just got an RC10GT with a Nova.12 in it. I cannot hook up from a standstill at all! I know I need new tires but they're not that bad. I have my slipper set pretty loose. the truck will spin the tires even at just under half throttle and the annoying thing is that it will not go straight when the tires spin. It always hooks to one side and usually spins. It gets really frustrating trying to run my truck cos I'm just spinning out everywhere. [:@]

I'm not really used to 2WD so I don't know if this is normal.

Your just over powered is all! Nothing wrong with that. Try to learn to take it easy on the throttle when accelerating. Also, get yourself a taller spur gear or clutchbell if you can't control the trigger finger.

you could richen the needles so it wouldnt have so much power unless you like the power but just dont want it not to spin out then try a good pair of street tires

i have the same problem with my rc10. something i have done to help is turn down the throttle atv. also i jumped down to a 64tooth spur. i have just gotten an 18 tooth clutchbell but haven't ran it yet. i am hoping the new CB will help more. I will let you know..

Your slipper may be a bit too tight as well.

thanks guys. It's much better now with some new(er) tires on. I also just got an FM radio where I can adjust the exponential on the brake so this will help too.
