Default Bump Start Engine! DO I NEED A STARTER BOX!

Hi, I purchased a RC10GT off of ebay. and it has a O.S. .12 BUMP START ENGINE. He said it comes 100% RTR and all I need is batterys and gas. but there is no starter box included!

Is there another way to start a bump start engine. because he said he started it up and it ran great and it came 100% RTR. but he did not say it included a starter box once!

Is there a possibility that it doesnt need one? is there any other way to start a bump start engine?

Mybe do you not need one. I couldnt see a pull start in the pictures. but he said it starts up and runs great and all I need is batterys and fuel.

am i missing something. are is he?

here is the link to the car:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWN:IT

if that doesnt work the number of the car is 5942453744

please help me im so depresed!

Thank you, and please respond ASAP!

if it is a non pull start motor then yes you need a starter box, or a hand held start hooks up to a 12v battery.

those wires connect togehter your 4 aa batterys will go in holster and the clip the holster to the other side of the wires for your steering and gas.

If it doesn't come with a starter box, you will need to get a hand held starter. It's just a 12 volt motor with a rubber wheel on the shaft. You bump the rubber wheel to your flywheel to get your truck started. Starter box or handheld starter, you will need one or the other.

same thing happned to me, bought it and needed a starting system, got a ez start 2 system, 50 bux. Then i found out the guy shaved the crankshaft, so i had to buy a starter box. That cost me 60 bux and the ez start was a waste.

that might not work... in all probability it doesn't have a shaft anymore. either never had one or ground off and a flush backplate put on. talk to the seller and see if it does have a shaft yet...

he said that it will work. and i could but one right onto it when i get it and it will start right up. plus the engine only had 2 tanks of gas in it. so it shouldnt be worn in that much. its not even broken in yet!

my starter uses a rubber wheel to spin the fly wheel ( i think thats what its called ) , so maybe you could use an upside down road bike(something with smooth tires) and spin it to a decent speed then set the fly wheel on the tire quickly and it should start up. Just an idea, hasnt been tryed by anyone that i know of.

sounds like a good idea but a road bike tire is too big in diameter and too wide so it would most likely never make it to the flywheel and would rub on the chasis

It sucks it didnt come with a starter. I know how it feels. My first car was used the issue was the pull start wouldn't pull and the previous owner bump started it so he didnt know. Then after like 2 more pull starters I switched to a starter box which I used for maybe 8 months and the engine died I order another It never came in so I just bought a new car and I dont need it anymore.

I've got a rustler with a new .15 engine but i broke the rope in my pullstarter and took it off, then i wrapped some tape aound the one way bearing and inserted it into a 12 mm socket and used my air drill to start it. of course i couldn't go anywhere with it except the backyard but it worked fine,,,,,, until!!! i lost the socket along with the oneway bearing. haven't been able to find one anyhere. could anyone help me out i haven't even got the engine broken in yet. my "LOCAL" hobby shop is 50 miles away. if anyone could be of assistance it would be greatly appreciated.
