I usually use a off-brand fuel, WildCat %15-%20. I've never had a problem with it so far.

Then today I bought some O'donnell 20% for about twice as much for a gallon than I usually use.

WOW !! What a difference !!! My speed changed so much I had to re-adjust the tranny shift point. Not only was I faster it burned cooler !!! It takes off so much faster now it almost wheelies and thats saying alot because my battery pack is in the front of the truck. I'm sure if I moved it to the back like most of the other ST's I'd be flipping over backwards. I was close to selling this truck cause I couldnt get enough power out of it. Now I think i'm gonna keep it when I buy my new one so friends can use it.

The fuel I use to buy was $16.99-%20 / gallon and $10.99-%15 / gallon

The O'donnell is $27.99 a gallon !! WELL worth the x-tra cash!!!

Glad you didn't sell you car because of some crap fuel.
Next you should try some 30%, Mucho better. And temps should stay about the same as with 20%.

while we are on about fuel.... i got me some byron 25%. previously i have used the tornado and model technics 10% cos thats all the shop carried - will i notice a huge difference in performance too? im running a os 18cvr-x btw...

^^ You probably will see some more power out of your car, I have heard some good things about Byron fuel. And switching from 10 to 25% will definatley help perfomance.

Wow thats alot of money, I run Monster Trinity 20%, awsome power, and its only $22 a gallon.

Yeah...

I run 30% Race in all of my engines... Another serious factor to consider is the oil content. Sport and plane fuels have a high oil content that REALLY affect how quickly the engine turns up (revs out). These fuels typically contain 16%-18%-20% oil.... race fuels contain 10-12% oil (white lightning is 8%) in synthetic mixes which have better lubricative properties than the higher oil-content fuels. The effect can be just as drastic as raising nitro %s...

I have looked all over this O'donnell gallon and it doesnt say what the oil content is??? Does anyone know what O'donnell %20 oil content is?

O'donnell makes 2 kinds of fuel: race and R2R... The race is the lower oil content blend (the one you want for speed). You're right... the bottle doesn't say. It is an 'industry secret', but I know from someone who was involved at one point that the Race is 12% oil... I don't know what the R2R is but it must be 16-18% oil, and one that is cheaper. This is also refelcted to some extent in the price.

Well this gallon says racing so that must be why Im getting so much speed, lower oil. Will that hurt my engine? Or not enough to notice.

Well obviously don't run it lean (stuttering, you know what I mean) but I can't see a real diff. in lifespan from one vs. the other. If I could only get 4-5 gallons out of my engine with it making max power, I would prefer that to going 8 gallons with crappy/mediocre performance.

How about Morgan Fuel's Sidewinder? Anyone use that? I bought it the other day, since where I usually buy, the didn't have anything else. Have not tried it out yet..

Typically, I use Blue Thunder to screw around with the cars at home...

Opinions on Sidewinder, anyone?

The sidewinder RACE blend works very well.... in fact you can go from 20% sidewinder race to ODonnell 20% Race without re-tuning.... their performance is pretty much the same too. That's the only other fuel I run... If you have been using BT and you try this, you won't EVER want to buy the BT again.

I use Model Technic's (don't know the percentage), costs £15.99 for about 3.21 litres. (Or something else...)

on my model technics "can" there is a sticker that says contest 10 - ie its 10%. just so u know where to look and what it means mate - ill let u know how much different this 25% byron stuff is.... when i venture outside....

oh - i only paid 11 quid for my model techics for 2.27litres (1/2 gallon) - so u may have the 20% i think it is that they make... just a thought...
