Default Ordering RC10GT This Weekend

Hey Guys,

I finally saved enough money for one. I should be ordering it sometime this weekend from towerhobbies. I just wanted to ask you about the breaking in engine part. My LHS will do it for me and tune it for 20 bucks. But i kind of want to know how to do it myself for future references ya know. In the manual that comes with car, does it give good instructions on how to break in the engine? Im getting the Plus RTR version. If it doesn't then how would i go on breaking it in. Please give me the best directions possible. This is my first nitro.

1st you want it rich --- rich means lots of fuel is going to the motor the fuel has oil
2nd what i did was let it idle the first 2 tanks
3rd do it on a flat area dont be 4x4 every were
4th accelerate slow and easy dont try to be doing wheelies or donuts
5th when you get to the 4-5 tank it tells you to lean it out ---- lean it out means it gets less fuel to the motor warning don't over lean your motor your manual will tell you the proper setting but when you lean it out less oil get to the motor it will get hot i thought running temp was overheating
6th it says it takes 5-7 tanks to brake it in i did 10 before it ever seen WOT wide open throttle
if you have any questions feel free to PM me i will be happy to help ya

That's a complete rip-off. Just save your money and follow the instructions in the engine's manual.

I agree with ncgrunt
The only way to learn is to try it yourself. Just make sure you run the first 5 or so tanks so rich that it barely stays running. Then you can start leaning it out. Good Luck!
